"And I do the sucking!" -The Fun Sucker[1]

The Fun Sucker is a character who loves to suck the fun out of things. She first appeared in the House of Snax during Episode #30 in order to denounce Lilith's enjoyment of Wordle and later returned twenty-five minutes into the same episode to announce that Diet Coke and Lilith have been talking for too long. Her sucking device is a normal straightforward straw that does not bend.[2]

Diet Coke and Lilith believe that the Fun Sucker is likely a descendant of or at least related to The Blue Meanie.[3] However, the Fun Sucker is unfamiliar with the character because she has not seen the Yellow Submarine movie, since it's too fun, and she doesn't enjoy that.[2]

She loves to such Yoo-hoo out of the box, because that's fun, and you suck it.[4] Dum Dums and Chupa Chups are her main source of sustenance.[5] She has an RC Cola themed dune buggy as her daily driver,[6] and she goes out of her way to drive by people who love RC Cola and/or dune buggies just so she can tell them that they can't have a turn.[7] She is a stickler for rules and believes that a society can only function if its members follow the rules.[2] She sometimes spreads upsetting lies about snacks in order to suck the fun out of them. She claims to have invented the disease tuberculosis.[8]

Anything Sam says about the Fun Sucker is to be considered canon until and unless Diet Coke says otherwise.[9]

Voice[]

The Fun Sucker speaks in a very exaggerated manner which, according to Lilith, sounds like she has been siphoning whimsey out of the world for the past 60 years. She also often forgets what her own voice sounds like, resulting in it fluctuating and sounding different during her appearances.[3] This causes her voice to sometimes be very difficult to understand. During Episode #53, she explained that this is intentional: "If my words are too understandable sometimes, then that’s too close to a bit that the kids can like and relate to, and that’s not [??????]." (I couldn't understand what she was saying at the end there.) When her voice starts to sound a little too fun, she changes it to something else, such as when she sounded a little bit like Groundskeeper Willie.[10] Between Episodes #53 and #54, she was bitten by a vampire, causing her voice to sound more like Dracula during Episode #54.[2]

Snack-Keeper Substitution[]

During Episode #35, the Snack Keeper sensed that Lilith did not want to talk to them, so the Fun Sucker subbed as a Snack Keeper for that episode. She accidentally acted as a very comforting presence to Lilith, who had a difficult day. As the Fun Sucker's job is to suck the fun out of things, she seemed disappointed by the role she had in making Lilith feel better. Instead of the Snack Keeper's usual podcast outro, she ended the episode by saying, "Well, goodbye, jerks. I'm the Fun Sucker, and that's what I say. The House of Snax is closed yet again. Goodbye."

She also possessed Diet Coke during Episode #43 and ate all of Diet Coke and Lilith's leftover Starburst candy. At the time of this possession, Diet Coke had not yet given her snack rating, but since the Fun Sucker respects the rules of the show, she read Diet Coke's brain and revealed her rating. This time, she ended the episode by saying, "Functionally I have sucked the fun out of the room. Goodbye, normal humans. We will see you later, and I'm not laughing."

Also during Episode #43, Diet Coke said, "Any time the Fun Sucker gets in my body, he can't leave until first the Snack-Keeper comes in and then the Snack-Keeper leaves." However, this is likely not true, as the Fun Sucker later possessed Diet Coke after the Snack-Keeper died in Episode #52, and she has continued possessing Diet Coke at the end of every episode since.

When about to be possessed by the Fun Sucker, Diet Coke can feel herself beginning to inhale more than she is exhaling as she is trying to breathe.[8] This may imply that the Fun Sucker possesses people starting from their lungs and expands from there, like the Snack-Keeper.

Relationship with Snack-Keeper[]

In the Skate Tape, the Fun Sucker discussed her relationship with the Snack-Keeper:

"The Snack-Keeper first came to me a little under a year ago. We hadn’t met in person, but, but we had both possessed the same human a few times, so we had something of a work relationship. They told me that, as they were getting older, they felt themselves slipping, and they asked me for help to get serious again about their skateboarding. I said, “Of course I can help you get serious; I’m the Fun Sucker.” So, I created a cure for Pixy Dust Lung. I know this disease has plagued this dimension for generations and generations, causing untold suffering and curving the Snack-Keeper population at the low thousands. I told The Snack-Keeper that I would release the cure only after he completed a Boneless at the 2022 Chex Games. I think it would be devilishly unfun when she fails and I have no choice but to destroy the cure in front of thousands of Snack-Keepers and mourning their fallen hero. [...] No Snack-Keeper can do a Boneless, because they’re all bone."

A couple months earlier, on Twitter, Snack-Keeper was asked about their thoughts on the Fun Sucker. They responded, "I don't like to talk about my exes in public."[11]

The other Fun Sucker[]

Lilith has been trying to get the Fun Sucker to come over, but that is a different, unrelated Fun Sucker. There are two Fun Suckers. One of them is on Grindr and leaves Lilith on read a lot.
