"I like cutting audio, and I like cutting cold-cut sandwiches."
Tony Cutz is the current resident editor of Diet Coke & Lilith's House of Snax. He occasionally inserts himself into episodes while editing, usually in response to an email from Diet Coke where she asks him to clarify something that was missed during the recording. Tony is very verbose and almost always reads Diet Coke's emails out loud verbatim during his recordings. He first appeared in Episode #53 and has since become a fan favorite[1]
Relationships[]
Sal[]
Tony Cutz has a boyfriend named Sal who occasionally gets mentioned during the podcast and officially appeared on it during Episode #103. He was first referenced in Episode #68 when Tony said, "I got a big Italian sub waiting for me, and I'm not talking about my boyfriend." Sal is a proud union man[2] and "a real wiz in the garden" who grows great tomatoes according to Tony.[3] His favorite number is 3.[1] They have been together for 20 years.[4]
Sal and Tony's anniversary is March 10, also known as MAR10 day.[5] Tony says the date is easy to remember because of the events that happened when they first met:
"I was at a bar, and this sexy guy comes up to me. He says, 'Hey, anyone ever tell you you look like Super Mario?'... Of course, this was also back when I had a mustache, and I said, 'Hey, thank you. You know, you kind of look like Super Mario too.' This was back when he used to wear a red hat all the time before a certain president made it unfashionable. So we had that little exchange, and then something happened. Call it fate; I don't know, but during the song that was playing, there was a sound that sounded like the Mario coin, and it just triggered something in us. We just started making out like freaks right there at the TGI Fridays"[5]
Diet Coke & Lilith[]
Everyone in the House of Snax loves Tony and highly respects him as an editor. He often sends various cured meats to Diet Coke and Lilith in the mail as gifts.[6][7] They sometimes go over to Tony and Sal's place to watch baseball.[8]
Tony often suggests movies for Diet Coke to watch and lets her borrow his DVDs.[9] They also watch Survivor together.[1] Despite their friendship, Tony can never remember Diet Coke's name and often mistakingly refers to her as some other zero sugar soda instead. When reading her emails out loud, he always gets confused about why she puts "Diet Coke" at the bottom. He does know Diet Coke's shoot name, but he tries not to break kayfabe[10]
The Snack-Keeper[]
Before the unfortunate death of Snack-Keeper Jr, Tony often had to cut out their long stories of sick Fortnite kills.[7]
Tony once got beers with Snack-Keeper III after Episode #102.[2] However, Snack-Keeper III only considers him a mutual friend, and they even got too nervous to talk to him when they saw him buying five watermelons at the grocery store months later. They explained, "It's like seeing a teacher out of school. I'm used to seeing him as the editor. I felt a little awkward seeing him in his normal environment."[8]
Other Work[]
During Episode #98, Lilith played a remix of "Turn Down for What" that Tony Cutz made for the podcast, showing that he is a DJ as well as a podcast editor. He continued his musical career during Episode #143 with a remix of "Everybody Hurts."
Tony Cutz was one of the presenters during the 113th Snack Academy Awards (possibly non-canon[11]).
Around January 2024, in addition to his work for Diet Coke & Lilith's House of Snax, Tony started also editing for another client. According to Tony, things have been stressful with this new client.[10]
Personal Life[]
Tony grew up in the Mojave Desert.[12] He hasn't lived there for many years,[4] but he still has family members who live there.[13] One of his first dates with Sal was watching a film in the Barstow Station Cinema.[4] He also recently visited Australia with Sal.[14] Baker, California is one of his favorite cities in the world.[15] He has spent some time in New Jersey in the past.[12] He loves Philadelphia.[13]
It is not known where he currently lives, likely because he prefers to keep many details about his private off the internet. He doesn't like to put pictures on his Facebook or even publicly discuss his physical features (such as his current hairstyle).[16]
Tony has a cat named Cannoli.[9]
